Metacog (www.metacog.com) is seeking is seeking a seasoned Java/AWS Big Data Developer to help grow our Big Data Learning Analytics team in Worcester, MA. Metacog measures how learners tackle challenges (within assessments, simulations, casual and serious games, performance tasks, etc.). As you can imagine, this is a lot more data than simply scores or grades. We want someone who can work with our Educational Data Mining Experts and build engines to analyze, score, and surface learning pathways and patterns. Responsibilities:
· Responsible for design and development of Java RESTful web services
· Back-end work with open-source DBs/unstructured data (S3, Dynamo, Cassandra, Kinesis)
· Operate within an Agile/Scrum environment
