The Media Products Group
Based in Bedfont Lakes, Feltham, the Media Products Group has become a specialist R&D center for the design and implementation of the most technologically advanced video conferencing infrastructure solutions available in the market today.
The Agile Development teams in CDO play a crucial role in achieving this and work as part of the R&D organization alongside the hardware and software development engineers. As a member of a scrum team you will play an integral part in the R&D process working on new products and technology throughout the full product development lifecycle (requirements capture, through design and implementation to system testing and integration). Products are designed, for Enterprise and Cloud deployment, from the ground up with test in mind with an emphasis on scalability, performance, interoperability and usability.
Role & Responsibilities
A successful candidate for this job will be the type of person who can be flexible in playing a developer or tester role in the scrum team. You should be comfortable writing portable, maintainable code and/or automation scripts. You will be expected to deliver significant features on your own as well as work with colleagues in collaborative tasks. You will be called upon to deliver timing estimates for implementation and assess risks involved. You will be working as part of an Agile team, creating unit test and functional automation scripts. You will be working with large and complex existing code bases, and collaborating with teams around the world using the latest technologies and tools, with opportunities for international travel.
Programming in C/C++ or Python Scripting.
Involvement in the specification, design and implementation of new products and features.
Architectural and system design of applications in an embedded or server environment.
Deliver code, unit test software modules and feature test.
Test the module on simulated and real hardware in typical customer scenarios as well as automated stress and scale scenarios.
Contribute to test automation at unit, integration, feature and system level.
Maintain the quality of the software, fix defects and regression test the fixes on available releases.
Plan, design and improve the automated test tool system; write, deliver and maintain tests for the toolset.
