We're the startup behind Arvados, the free software platform for managing, analyzing, and sharing genomic and other biomedical big data. Arvados will help raise the standards of reproducibility in medical science, and achieve personalized medicine using next-generation medical imaging technology.
We recently raised venture funding and we are using it to turn our development speed up to 11.
In this job, you will:
- Work with a focused team of developers to design, build, document, and deploy our open source platform.
- Write a lot of code quickly.
- Regularly use at least two of Go, Python, and Ruby.
- Learn quickly how the system fits together so you can make smart design decisions.
- Work in a team where consensus and collaboration is important.
We are building multi-rack-scale infrastructure with MapReduce, content addressable storage, virtualization, and big in-memory databases supporting domain-specific queries. Those ideas should at least sound interesting to you, but you don’t need prior expertise.
