Sr. Manager, Software Engineering
Nokia’s HERE Pro Group is expanding its team! Our team builds tools, products, and web services designed to deliver our 3D street-level and 3D aerial data to Enterprise customers for professional geo-spatial applications. This is a newly formed team so your knowledge and experience will make a substantial impact on bringing our software and services to the market.
We are looking for experienced candidates who will be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment focused on innovation and be able to learn and integrate complementary technologies inside and outside their specific area of expertise.
Ideal candidates have previously built and/or led one or more engineering teams, including coordinating the teams’ development efforts and ensuring the adoption of best project management and engineering practices. Candidates should also possess the superior communication and leadership skills required to interact with a number distributed teams, as well as customers and major stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the HERE Platform (www.here.com), Reality Capture and Processing, Reality Mapping and Publishing, and HERE Pro teams to produce new 3D imagery and point cloud data web-services and applications to customers managing critical infrastructure (aka “Smart Cities”).
- Write software for existing earthmine web services and products (www.earthmine.com), and transition those solutions to new and expanded HERE Pro products and services.
- Organize and lead the HERE Pro development team; act as a technical leader and mentor
- Foster enthusiasm and innovation; ensure best engineering and project management practices
- Assist in hiring, on-boarding, mentoring, and reviewing of software team members, etc.
