The Role
Join a team of fun, talented engineers focused on building the next generation of smarter shopping products. This is a unique opportunity to lead a QA engineering team responsible for ensuring the quality of new and existing Productopia products.
You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated leader with a passion for QA and best practices around release and development. Responsibilities include:
- Hire, manage and train a team of QA engineers.
- Collaborate with Productopia development to introduce best practices around automated testing throughout all aspects of software development. Includes unit testing, integration testing and continuous delivery.
- Ensure high quality and timely release of features/products to market by working collaboratively with Productopia's development and product teams.
- Setup and support a totally transparent quality and testing process.
- Provide accurate QA turn-around estimates for build and release testing.
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and all other test assets such as test data, data validation scripts and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate automated and manual test cases and report test results.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
- Continually innovate on testing improvements.
