The Business-to-Business (B2B) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test for our procurement systems.
Our team is focused on building solutions to enable B2B customers to research, discover and buy products in large catalogs; across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, businesses and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer base.
You will be part of a team that is responsible for all aspects of the customer experience - from the visual interface to the back-end services. You will be responsible for implementing test processes, procedures and frameworks to automate our systems, services and API’s from a functional, performance and load standpoint. Our systems and services are asynchronous and distributed and integrate with multiple systems inside and outside Amazon over existing protocols and standards.
You will use your industry-leading technical abilities understand software internals, debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline our QA process. You will work directly with both Software Development Engineers and Product Managers to understand project features, review technical implementations, and implement testing strategy.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
- 3+ year experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Software Developer Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Proficiency in developing software in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, C# or Scala
- Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution.
- Experience with white box testing.
- Experience writing code to test APIs and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology, Agile or Scrum environment and tools
- Experience with user-level scripting languages like JavaScript, Perl or Python
- Practical coding experience with automated web testing tools, services, and frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results
- Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness for the entire team
