At Rally we seek people who are passionate about the software industry and want to work with the best and brightest. We value teamwork and the ability to make and meet commitments as well as skill and a  proven track record in creating successful, highly usable software.

We value work-life balance and sustainability, collaborating with our exceptional co-workers, and creating excellent solutions for our customers.  The office we are hiring for is located on the waterfront in Kirkland, WA. We have a great open-space vibe, and our pairing stations look out over Lake Washington through our south-facing window-wall. The Kirkland transit center is two blocks away, making public transportation a viable option.

Are you are an experienced developer with a broad skill set and a passion for tackling complex and interesting problems? Rally is growing rapidly, so the problems we tackle are big and getting bigger. We think about scaling all the time, and dedicate developer time to making sure we’re doing the right things. We collaborate obsessively, so our ideal team members are people who are good at both teaching and learning.

Our Engineering team is a group of polyglots, and if you looked at our codebase you will find:

  • Java

  • Javascript

  • Ruby

  • Groovy

  • Grails

  • No-SQL solutions like

    • Solr

    • Cassandra

    • MongoDB

  • and some relational databases too.

Here in Kirkland the teams tend to focus on:

  • AngularJS

  • CoffeeScript

  • Groovy

  • Grails

  • MongoDB

Automated testing is a first-class citizen at Rally. We test at every level, from fast running unit tests for both our javascript front-end and our various back-end services, to full-stack tests that drive the browser.
