In the Information Management Group, you will have the opportunity to work directly on data protection and archiving products using the latest disk, tape, de-duplication, archiving, indexing and virtual technologies. This group is devoted to changing the way organizations ensure successful backup, recovery and archiving of information and systems. Responsibilities
• Work in an agile and fast paced environment to lead the design, development and implementation of Symantec's BE Automation Strategy & infrastructure.
• Responsible for working with BE Sr. Management and Architecture team to define the Automation Vision for Backup Exec.
• Work with the Automation Steering Committee and provide technical guidance to other departments & organizations on Automation.
• Provide leadership in technology, automation infrastructure and test case automation to Automation Teams & QA Members in various global locations.
• Participates in Automation Design and code reviews for Automation efforts.
• Deliver automation solutions for test scenarios by interfacing with development, Automation Teams, and SQA Engineers.
• Direct automation activities by acting as team lead on multiple automation projects.
• Anticipates future technical automation needs then develops and implements strategies to achieve automation goals. Follows industry automation trends.
• Able to clearly and concisely communicate technical ideas and concepts to individuals who are at different technical levels.
• Ensures that automation coding standards, practices and policies are incorporated into all aspects of SQA automation efforts.
• Work hands on with the Automation teams as required. Provide automation leadership by example. Coordinate with SQA engineers doing white box testing and assist these engineers in automation tasks and training.
• Responsible for maintaining a collaborative Automation development environment used by multiple teams.
