- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in development using Ruby or Java.
- Solid experience developing software on the Linux platform.
- Proven experience with at least one major RDBMS at large scale. Good mastery of SQL.
- Experience with Hadoop and atleast one major NoSQL datastore.
- Self-directed, ability to multi-task, sharp analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proven design skills and able to find creative scalable solutions to difficult problems.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, internet security fundamentals and designing for performance, scalability and availability.
- Excellent written communication and verbal agility are strong assets.
- Experience with Ruby-on-Rails is a big plus.
- Knowledge in security engineering, firewalls, system and network security is a plus.
- Knowledge of Intrusion Detection/Prevention, security threats, exploits, trends, and mitigations is preferred.
- Have strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Machine Learning techniques, both supervised and unsupervised.
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile software development practices.
