Description
As a Java Developer you will be a proactive, disciplined professional who displays a technical aptitude and possess a level of business acumen. You will work in a dedicated product team using Agile practices to deliver high-quality tested software to the business on a regular basis. This role reports directly to the Scrum Master.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop excellent quality software using agile techniques such as Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
- Take an active role in Story definition, assisting QA's and business stakeholders with Acceptance criteria and BDD
- Drive best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, planning games, showcases, and retrospectives.
- Strive for continuous improvement within the team
- Resolution of defects during the full product lifecycle.
- Deliver production-ready, fully tested software in every iteration
Requirements/ Skills:
- Experience and strong ability in Java
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best of breed open source and commercial technologies
- Experience of software development for high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites/systems
- Delivery experience within an agile project
- Excellent communication skills
