Software Delivery Manager / QA Manager
Job Description
We are a seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our testing and manage a small Software Quality Assurance Engineering team. This opportunity is appropriate for experienced software Quality Assurance professionals with a track record of success and a solid understanding of software quality control methodology, processes, tools, and related technologies. This is a challenging, highly technical 100% hands-on quality assurance/engineering technical lead role requiring analytical, innovative thinkers who can successfully test our applications. As well, this role will have responsibilities across customer success, release management and production gatekeeper. The candidate is expected to be a team player, flexible, a strong driver for results and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team of engineers in the Quality Assurance team.
- Mentor, guide, and coach other QA team members from a technical perspective, in order to make sure they are successful individually and as a team.
- Lead the design, implementation and rollout of an Automated Testing Framework for integration and regression testing using technologies such as Selenium/Webdriver, WebdriverJS, QUnit, JUnit.
- Integrate automated testing framework with CI environment (Jenkins).
- Automation of all performance testing as part of our CI environment.
- Provide test plans to ensure on-time delivery of builds to production.
- Identify, research, report, track and verify software defects proactively and comprehensively
- Participate in root-cause analysis of defects
- Recognize test case, test coverage deficiencies, or process problems and propose improvements
- Coordinate testing efforts by customer support, engineering and offshore QA engineers
- Ability to function effectively in a fast pace and dynamic environment and manage continuously changing business needs; excellent multi-tasking and time management skills required
- Communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ year minimum experience in software development and QA, working on either a web application or a client/server application.
- Highly experienced working in a SaaS based platform.
- Mobile and web QA experience in an enterprise or SaaS offering.
- Able to recognize process deficiencies and propose improvements
- Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of Agile and/or SCRUM
- Understanding of ETL and Data Warehousing
- Experience testing REST web services
- Experience with Jenkins or other build servers
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and related hardware
