Denver Water (DW) has implemented a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for data and process integration across its suite of business applications, is seeking an individual with leadership, development and support experience to complement our Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep working knowledge in the integration solution space, with extensive technical capabilities, and has the experience and interest to provide development of new business process and integration solutions in an Agile development environment. This individual is expected to advance the integration direction, business/solutions requirements for new integrations, give guidance and direction to current support personnel and guide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
To be successful in this role, the person will need expert-level development skills with our specific tools. On-going development and releases also necessitate that the candidate be familiar with Continuous Integration (CI), Release Management and Source Code Control tools and be able to coordinate with a diverse group of IT stakeholders for integrated releases.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as Scrum Master of an Agile Team focused on providing for application integration and application monitoring.
- Develops and/or coordinates the development of Restful or SOAP services for the use of other applications teams their development activities.
- Responsible for the operation of the TIBCO integration platform
- Responsible for the operation of Denver Water’s application monitoring framework (Splunk)
- Collaborates with internal and external user community customers, technology and business consultants, end users, section managers, IT management and colleagues to identify business requirements, assess feasibility and impact to other applications, consider available technologies and approaches, recommend solutions, and prioritize project tasks.
- Resolves issues using leadership and strong Project Management skills including scope, time, quality, communication, risk, and coordination management to ensure that cross-functional team members meet project deadlines.
- Addresses each assignment with professionalism and action to ensure assignments are followed through to their completion/resolution.
- Leads development of Denver Water IT standards and Best Practices, promotes acceptance of adopted standards.
- Manages time and assignments effectively and responsibly.
- Proactively builds skills consistent with assigned duties.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- While this role currently has no direct reports, the role may exercise supervision over other employees in a matrixed environment.
- Must provide 24/7 ongoing support.
