We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with demonstrated software development expertise. This individual will be responsible for leading the development of pluggable applications for an advanced distributed control system for utility power system applications. He or she will also contribute to user interface design, customer proposals, customer requirements gathering, and product development and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality, robust, maintainable software.
- Unit test and debug developed code.
- Gather customer requirements and work with subject matter experts to design applications for the Spirae product platform.
- Identify and lead process improvements.
- Lead the development of the user interface and server backend components using local and remote developers.
- Drive planning activities for the components under your leadership.
- Keep team members and management informed of current state of efforts and risks.
- Work with team members to ensure adherence to testing policies and procedures.
- Lead documentation activities as applicable.
- Coordinate scarce resource consumption among developers and with the tech leads for test and development.
- Participate in daily scrums, weekly demos, and planning meetings every two weeks.
- Mentor junior team members to improve code, design, and team practices.
