Sr. Product Manager at Amazon (Irvine, CA)

The app economy enables a wide range of developers to deliver endless scenarios to end-user customers on tablets, mobile phone, and next gen devices. On the Amazon Appstore team, we aim to support a frictionless marketplace that drives user satisfaction on Amazon and third-party devices and strong business opportunities for developers.

We’re looking for a talented and creative product management expert to help define and create world-class experiences for the Amazon Appstore. As the Senior Product Manager, you will own business and product requirements driving both back-end services and front-end experiences.

As the Senior Product Manager, Appstore, your key responsibilities will include:
· Collecting key insights on user behavior, pain points, and market trends to support data-based decision making.
· Developing and creating buy-in for the global product vision both internally and with key external partners.
· Defining a top-notch customer experiences, working with a UX designer.
· Translating the customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap.
· Writing complete and detailed product requirements documents and ensuring clear communication of those requirements to the business, design, and development teams.
· Managing prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, site performance and operational support load.
· Proactively identifying and resolving strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
· Leading cross-functionally to ensure we implement the business vision efficiently.

  • 5+ years of work experience in technology product management
  • Experience managing a product backlog and leading a team to meet aggressive goals.
  • BA/BS required
  • Technical proficiency, demonstrated through technical undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with agile software development/Scrum preferred
  • MBA from a top-tier school
