Razer is seeking a seasoned strategic project management professional to join the team in our San Francisco office. This role will lead our global software program/project management organization and process improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Establish policies, controls, and best practices to insure the successful management, tracking, and reporting of all software projects and initiatives
- Partner with leaders across the company to coordinate & drive strategic software initiatives, enforce project management policies, controls, best practices, and establish useful metrics for all projects
- Quickly identify and clarify critical issues that need action, driving appropriate decisions and activities, and communicating results/recommendations to management
- Take ownership of the software project roadmap, partnering with product, marketing, and engineering leaders to keep the roadmap and timelines updated, accurate, and properly prioritized
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities for all projects, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for all identified risks
- Report global project status, risks, and issues to management on a regular basis
- Assume project management responsibility for all projects without an established project manager and/or provide back up for project managers who are otherwise unavailable (vacation, maternity, illness, etc.)
- Oversee project management staff in a matrixed (dotted line) reporting structure, providing assistance with hiring, mentoring, supervision, and performance analysis as needed. Meet with staff on a regular basis to monitor project success, address concerns, and help remove roadblocks
- Organize meetings, set agendas, record minutes, and update attendees and stakeholders as required
- Foster a workplace culture of quality and continuous process improvement
- Support agile planning and estimation processes across software teams
- Manage vendor & partner business relationships as needed
- Occasional international and domestic travel as needed
