We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced web developer to join our team. You are an expert in web technologies, with special expertise in object orientated programming and post-graduation experience in advanced projects.

We are an agile, owner managed company with a team of strong individuals. Our main technologies are: PHP, MySQL, Zend-Framework and we use scrum. Our services include individual solutions in web development and server management for b2b customers.

Your work will be focused on programming web applications and interactive websites. You will write clean code and refactor existing code in accordance to our coding guidelines. The code will contain tests and pass a code review before deployment. There will be pair programming, but most important of all: you will be working in a team, which takes responsibility for customer fulfillment in every sprint. This means achievement of team objectives is more important than individual performance.

We will offer the successful candidate a permanent position in a great team with passion for successful projects and clean code.  You will be able to develop your own knowledge and career continuously. We have in-house lectures with interesting topics concerning technical and management tools and methods. You can attend them as listener as well as a speaker. Our developers get new input from conferences.

With us you will develop ambitious tasks for enthusiastic customers. Working with us means a lot of fun and we make sure that our employees get a good work life balance.

Please send your application with cover letter detailing your suitability for the role and salary expectation, CV, references and a code sample (about 200 lines should be enough to show us your skills) to jobs@secu-ring.de.

If you are a junior developer don’t hesitate to apply – we are also looking for you.

We speak German far better than English, therefore you should be able to communicate in either English or German fluently (written and spoken).

Wenn Du eine deutsche Stellenauschreibung bevorzugst

We answered the Joel Test honestly and came up with 6 points. There are some points we answered with "no", because our visions are higher developed than our actual state. These are:

  • We have a deployment process but it's not in one step.

  • Continuous integration is on the way.

  • Sometimes a new feature adds more value for the customer than to fix a specific bug

  • We ask our developers frequently which tools they want to use. Which one do you prefer?

  • We do a lot of testing (manual and automated), but we still don't have a "black team"

  • Usually usability and design is defined by our customers or partners. Hopefully they do hallway tests.

Even if we answer the rest with yes, we improve our development continuously. What will you contribute?
