Mobility is a primary focus for Huddle as we look to increase the functionality of our content collaboration platform. The focus of the Android Development team will be to create, from scratch, an application for mobile and tablet that is at least as good as our iOS equivalent.
Within the Android Development team, the focus of the Senior Android Developer will be to guide the direction of this green-field project, actively advocating Android best practices within the wider engineering team, while creating a green-field Android continuous integration stack.
Day to day this means:
- Designing and developing well-architected, performant and robust mobile applications
- Collaborating with the architecture team to define Huddle's platform strategy, and ensure Huddle’s APIs are suitable for mobile development
- Working across the entire product life cycle from concept, design, build and test to deployment to Google Play Store and support
- Championing Huddle mobile with the company and in the wider community, by attending industry events both as a delegate and as a presenter
- Delivering projects on schedule through the provision of development estimates, and analysis of project delivery risks
- Evaluating mobile trends and technologies to ensure that Huddle remains at the leading edge of mobile technology
