Responsibilities:
- The candidate must have a passion for execution and possess the capability to interact with a variety of stakeholders to get stuff done. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to manage the agile development for PayPal Here mobile applications that deliver our rich merchant experience (currently iOS and Android applications).
- Organize and facilitate sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, and other related meetings.
- Serve as a liaison between product owners, developers, management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to organize product backlog and sprint requirements.
- Establish a fast paced operating rhythm, track development velocity and manage iteration capacity.
- Increase team productivity by identifying and removing barriers to progress, while mitigating distractions to improve team focus.
- Coordinate activities with Release Engineering for successful delivery of iterations and deployments
Requirements:
- Certified Scrum Master demonstrating extensive knowledge of agile software engineering processes.
- Exceptional communication skills addressing a variety of cross-functional stakeholders including product owners, developers, QA, release management, operations and other technical teams.
- Have the ability to hold team members accountable, resolve productivity issues, set clear performance objectives while keeping the team focused and on-track.
- Must be a team player, pragmatic, self-starter, process-driven, results oriented while capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Business Administration or related degree.
- 2 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master, software development manager, software project manager, program manager or related position.
- Must have hands-on experience with Confluence, JIRA, Rally and similar tools.
