As Front End Software Engineer, you will help us turn visual design into fully functional features using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. You will work with a talented team of developers to deliver a user experience that will delight users on all types of devices and browsers. You will collaborate with the Product Team and business stakeholders in all stages of product development, from ideation to release
Responsibilities:
- Develop lightweight front end using HTML, CSS and JavaScript that is responsive, semantically clean and compatible across various browsers on desktops, tablets and mobile devices
- Ensure consistency in HTML elements and styles within and across all product lines at uSell
- Follow standards and patterns established by the team in all development work
- Focus on improving page load speed, using best practices like lazy loading, sprite sheets etc.
- Practice progressive enhancement, design solutions that degrade gracefully when used on a less-capable device / browser
- Practice Agile methodologies like Test Driven Development, pair programming, refactoring and peer reviews
- Be an active participant of the Scrum team, from backlog grooming and story estimation to design, development and testing
- Take ownership of overall product quality, actively participate in testing activities
