Solution Architect - Dyanmic Mobile Applications Company at @hand (Austin, TX)

@hand is seeking an experienced software architect to imagine, design and oversee development and support of tailored mobile applications specific to individual customer’s needs. The Solution Architect is responsible for understanding and communicating the customer needs, developing and communicating the product vision and value of the software from a technical perspective. The Solution Architect reviews and provides technical translations of user stories before the sprint-planning meetings.


Project success is the Solution Architect's second area of responsibility. This includes meeting the project goals and deadlines. The Solution Architect provides technical expertise to both the customer and the project team.


The Solution Architect collaborates with the team and aligns with the stakeholders throughout the entire release. The Solution Architect clarifies technical requirements when questions arise and reviews the work results using the agreed-upon “definition of done” criteria.


Responsibilities



  • Support the technical aspect of @hand project implementations and including the gathering and documenting all technical requirements and providing product demonstrations of new platform and app factory functionality

  • Provide @hand expertise on @hand architecture and integration capabilities

  • Ensure that decisions comply with @hand strategic architecture, direction and best practice

  • Develop and drive implementation of Solution / Technical Architecture, Integration Architecture, Migration Architecture, Deployment Architecture, Configuration Management and Product Data Migration

  • Review all customer architecture requirements and provide @hand sign-off on solutions

  • Support and direct the integration of the @hand software with 3rd party systems

  • Support and direct the specification and development of custom interfaces

  • Drive Technical consistency and reuse across projects

  • Ensure that solutions are robust and scalable

  • Provide technical direction including the translation of user stories into technical designs

  • Participates in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (scrums), reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings

  • Ability to build, nurture and grow customer relationships at mid-management and end user levels

  • Participate in monthly engagement status/progress reviews with customer stakeholders

  • Partner and provide technical leadership to Product Owners, Solution Engineering and Quality Assurance to scope and deliver on proposed solutions

  • Design testing strategies for assigned engagements

  • Manage and organize alignment between the customer and @hand technical resources

  • Participate in periodic internal @hand engagement team meetings providing feedback and guidance

  • Identify imminent and potential risks and develop/deploy mitigation strategies 

  • You must be willing to travel between 60%-80%
