iDT Labs, the 2013 UNDP innovation award winner is looking for somebody who has a strong object-oriented programming background, especially with experience in PHP and Python. The ideal candidate would have a broad background that includes some mobile development and systems administration, and is able to quickly pick up new technologies. He/she demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with internal end-users, cross-functional software development teams, and technical support/sustaining engineering teams to solve problems, implement new solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards. We look for engineers who are excellent communicators, self-motivated, flexible, hardworking, who like to have fun, and potentially willing to travel to Sierra Leone every now and then.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, development, testing, deployment, and operations of software services and applications.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and support applications in production environments.
- Assist in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
