The successful candidate will understand requirements when investigating a malware related case and will have the ability to connect various pieces of information to draw a bigger picture around an attack. Skills will include being well versed with networking technologies and a comfort level presenting findings to external customers. He/she will be proficient in writing reports regarding malware or attack investigation projects. In a nutshell, this is a position for people who have the acumen to analyze various pieces of intelligence from the malware landscape to paint a clear picture.
- Lead research into new malware and attack campaigns, by performing data analysis and tracking attacker activity
- Correlating information about specific malware attacks
- Document, compile and deliver threat intelligence reports. The candidate will be customer facing, and requires good communication skills
- Utilize customer, community, open and closed source intelligence for the purpose of incident analysis
- Work with various external agencies/partners when collaborating intelligence or providing it for legal investigations
- Maintain an understanding of the current vulnerabilities, malware, and cyber threat landscape
