NORIGIN MEDIA is seeking a skilled software engineering manager to lead the frontend (UI/UX) development team located both in-house at the HQ in Oslo and remote locations. The SW engineering teams are responsible for development of the core products as well as customer specific project deliveries. The manager will also be responsible to liaise with the product and project delivery teams while streamlining the processes of frontend development within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a distributed software engineering teams.
- Facilitate effective working relationships with other departments including product, backend engineering and project delivery teams.
- Manage Engineering teams and resources while conducting continuous resource planning to meet changing business needs for both product development and project deployments.
- Active involvement in growth plans of the frontend team across different locations.
- Foster a culture that retains and develops team members
- Enhance the software development lifecycle by applying industry best practices, processes and metrics.
- Participate in product development and lead the execution of the technical product roadmap within core products.
- Write code, design software and perform code review when required.
- Lead by example.
We write most of our code in JavaScript/HTML5 so the candidate needs to have in-depth and hands-on experience with complex software projects using such technologies. Our Hybrid-Apps product requires you to also manage software engineers for native development across iOS, Android and Windows operating systems.
