We are looking for a Senior Information Developer to help us elevate data to the forefront of being a critical business asset at Capital Group.
As a Senior Information Developer, you will be an important part of the Application Services – Information Delivery organization. We support Capital Group by building and maintaining high quality data solutions that maximize business value, supporting Capital Group’s vision of using data as a strategic asset.
You will play a key role in providing information delivery capabilities and applications in support of Capital Group’s business initiatives. Using your analytical mindset, flexibility in approach, and positive attitude, you will develop robust and innovative ETL and database solutions, in addition to leading the work of others, while also participating in information delivery projects that may leverage net new analytic and/or big data tooling to the company.
Additionally, you’ll leverage your development, data analysis, and data modeling skills to maintain, support, and enhance existing information platforms quickly and flexibly, while leveraging your communication skills to proactively collaborate with technology/project leadership and end users. Your testing skills will also be invaluable to ensure the delivered solution meets the needs of the business. Your learning agility and deep industry experience coupled with strong communication skills will be leveraged to provide thought leadership on development best practices and communicate those practices to your peers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies and designs reporting and analytic information solutions by translating complex business, data, and non-functional requirements into information solution options and detailed technical ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data designs.
- Creates, executes, and/or leads testing initiatives, while documenting and troubleshooting complex reporting & analytic information solutions.
- Manages complex source code control, configuration repositories and deployment packaging, and job scheduling.
- Supports the ongoing management and maintenance of information solutions, facilitating understanding of their usage with other technology teams.
- Provides leadership in advancing skill sets and improving team practices. Stays current with and applies industry best practices related to information management and information delivery capabilities.
