Our business is expanding and our engineering team is growing to meet new challenges. We are seeking an experienced leader to head a team of software engineers as we take our products and services to the next level. Your web development and software engineering experience allows you to lead your team technically. You are a quick learner but already familiar with the issues related to delivering high quality software in an agile environment.
Our software is written using Ruby on Rails and ember.js. As our back-end processing needs increase, there may be an opportunity to introduce new elements into our technology stack.
Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide a team of software engineers. Take responsibility for your team from both a technical and administrative perspective
- Be able to contribute at a code level to software engineering efforts
- Ensure software development standards and processes are followed and work towards continuous improvement in this area
- Act as scrum master on software development efforts
- Be familiar with new technologies, processes and techniques and be prepared to guide their introduction into the engineering team.
- Be a leader in defining the architectural direction of the company's products.
- Become a subject matter expert on RBM’s application software
