Medical data lives in a wide variety of unstructured formats, from ad-hoc tables to paragraphs typed in by physician aides chock full of valuable information. Before we can start to leverage the power of big data in health care, we’ll need to get very good at mapping this unstructured data into structured data. This is where you come in.
Gliimpse is looking for a senior software engineer to help drive our healthcare data extraction pipeline from “small data,” aggregated into “big data,” a health GRAPH. Competitive candidates will have solid python programming chops. Exposure to health care ontologies and standards is not required, but would be big plus. As one of the early engineers in the company, you’ll be architecting a core piece of our technology and shaping the culture of our company. You’ll need to be good – we need someone who can take a fuzzy objective and turn it around into a high performing product in short order.
