The Amazon Development Centre in London is seeking talented embedded software engineers with game development experience. You will be part an engineering team building video platforms for next generation console and mobile devices. Successful candidates will be passionate about their work and motivated to build the best solutions for Amazon customers. You'll have the opportunity to work on the latest platforms and devices. You will help shape the future of Amazon's video platform by investigating state of the art streaming technologies, video codecs, digital rights management and GPU technologies. Your goal will be to build the best video playback platform for the world's most customer-centric company.
- Excellent C/C++ skills including STL, threading, design patterns and OO.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one game system (PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox One, Wii, Wii U), in tools/pipelines, runtime and SDK
- Able to understand and use various SDKs and interfaces effectively
- At least one shipped game title
- Determined and self-motivated
- Prepared to rise to a challenge
- Always striving for quality
- Excellent 3D maths knowledge
- Experience in debugging and profiling in all code areas
- Exposure to an Agile (e.g. Scrum) development environment
