MTV is looking for a Technical Project Manager to help us make our MTV Artists website and apps even better!
This role will provide project leadership, mitigate project risks, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. You will work with various software and business teams around the company to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals. This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of MTV artists!
A successful candidate will have expertise in developing customer facing websites, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and great project management and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, make it visible to management and key stakeholders, and drive the project through to completion.
- Help make the right feature trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience and business relevance.
- Engage with many other teams in the company, evangelizing the team and your project, building relationships and helping identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on our goals.
- Facilitate the creation of a well-defined Project Backlog or Project Plan.
- Manage Sprint and Release planning or development cycle.
- Making sure project resources are applied appropriately.
- Pulling together upfront estimates of time and resource utilization.
- Facilitating change control and risk mitigation.
- Analyze risk and mitigation accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.
