We are seeking a B2C E-Commerce tech leader for the Mobile Apps Product Development unit encompassing apps for 2 major travel brands and on all popular OS platforms. These apps have clocked over 2 million downloads, won numerous design, product and marketing awards, and the engineering team is top notch. This person will oversee teams of 25+ including development engineers, quality assurance engineers and development managers.
Its “all hands on deck” at Fareportal, and in order to lead and command the respect of such highly technical teams this person must skilled in architecting, designing and developing highly scalable large scale and available applications.
The right person will be a creative mind with a compulsion to innovate in the areas of technology product and process development; paired with an ability to translate new trends and technologies into quick product ideas and implementation.
Responsibilities:
Business Strategy
- Lead the technical vision for a core product by aligning Technology Development to meet Business Strategy/ Product Strategy /Business Goals
Technology Management
- Setup and maintain a high quality development practice, perform routine code reviews, engage the team in technical discussions, coach the team on agile development practices.
Technical Leadership
- Hire, mentor, motivate and retain the best-in-business engineers and managers.
Project Management
- Ownership for timely delivery of product features, lead continuous engagement with the product, marketing, and business teams
- Ownership of overall business goals for the mobile apps.
