Embedded Firmware Engineer at Lexmark International (Lexington, KY)

This position is for an embedded software developer to design and implement code for multi-function devices that perform print, scan, copy, fax, etc. through a variety of workflows and connections on a custom SOC running a Linux OS.  Typical responsibilities involve combining an understanding of requirements analysis, embedded programming, working on an Agile/scrum team and utilizing best practices for software development processes.  Specific responsibilities can be adapted to the interests, strengths and level of experience of the candidate.

Applicant must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  Good communication skills are essential with emphasis on the ability to effectively explain technology to non-technical audiences.
