Role Summary
This position will be responsible for custom application development, business line integration, and industry best practice. The Application Development position is expected to produce custom application solutions by working closely with business users throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. Along with these custom applications, this position will take the lead in improving the current processes in place and recommend/implement changes to the current application environment. This person will be leading work in coordination with other application developers in the areas of requirements gathering, industry best practice, architecture and software development methodology. This is a role situated in a fast paced trading environment. Candidates should be accustomed to working in a high pressure environment where code quality is of utmost importance.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
- Develop software to meet business objectives as prescribed by the governing committees of the investment division.
- Respond to support or maintenance inquiries that relate to your areas and applications of expertise.
- Proactively maintain relationships and communication with members of the supported businsess units.
- Manage documentation, task-tracking, and team communication required to make all applications supportable and auditable.
- Participate in .NET and Scrum best practice, and help establish technology standards with the team and other development managers.
