The leading provider of online marketing software and services to the restaurant industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their outstanding software development team. The person will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive automated test plans and test cases for web applications utilizing the most appropriate testing methodologies (i.e. unit, functionality, regression, exploratory, integration, user interface, data validation etc.). The candidate will work within a team and will interact daily with product managers, software engineers and analysts both on-shore and off-shore. The QA Engineer will need strong analytical and organizational skills and strictest attention to details. Successful candidate will adhere to established standards and provide input to develop new standards as needed.
The QA Engineer must be able to work with independently with minimum supervision, have strong communication skills, be self-driven, and an effective team player.
What You’ll Do:
o Performing various levels of testing (i.e. unit, functionality, regression, exploratory, integration, user interface, data validation etc.) of multi-tenant web application using the appropriate testing methodologies.
o Performing basic API & Web Services testing using both scripts and automated testing tools (Selenium or Watir).
o Documenting test cases and test plans for web & client/server applications.
o Executing tests, documenting results, creating bug reports and monitor their resolution status
o Perform data validation for all application especially accuracy of data generated by reports.
o Defining and creating test data required for testing of applications
o Developing test scripts keeping in mind the requirements for the application and the existing functionality
o Developing automated test scripts using off-the-shelf and custom applications
o Work independently with minimal supervision and provide leadership and mentoring to other QA Analysts
o Mentoring other team members
What You’ll Need:
6+ years of experience testing multi-tenant, web/client-server application at various levels to include unit, functional, exploratory and regression testing, etc.
2+ years of experience documenting test cases
1+ year working experience with SQL Server Management Studio
Strong oral & written communications
Working with Agile Scrum Methodology
Automation test tools and scripting
Performance and Load Testing
Having worked with remote / off-shore teams
Supervisory or mentoring experience
B.A./B.S. degree or related work experience
