Assignment Summary:
The Consultant is responsible for designing and developing assigned technical components: i.e. screens, reports, etc. The Consultant will work with the lead or architecture member to create necessary views and other changes to the application under development. The Consultant will:
- Plan, code and execute unit tests as prescribed in the Consultant guidelines
- Read and comply with project standards including coding and design guidelines, quality standards, architecture approaches and guidelines, code and design review recommendations
The Consultant is responsible for understanding testing and participating in the broader levels of test planning and on an as needed basis in testing and support activities. The Consultant must also provide an assessment of the scope, impact and estimated effort as requested for any new enhancement or defect found within an application. The Consultant is expected to produce high-quality work products and assists in the development of documentation. In order to do so, the Consultant will use the established documentation templates to create these work products.
Assignment Responsibilities:
- Work and deliver side by side with development team members to ensure a consistent technical landscape aligned to technical architecture vision.
- Collaborate with team leads and team members to ensure that all technology initiatives are implemented within the existing or planned framework for each project.
- Provide assistance and technical guidance to Business Analysts, Software Engineers, QA Testers and other team members in diagnosing and resolving complex defects identified throughout testing phases.
