The Duke Alumni Association (DAA) seeks to hire a talented developer to help build the tools that will drive alumni engagement for the next generation. In 2014 we will be launching a new online experience for Duke alumni that will combine best-of-breed practices and products. This is a fantastic chance to join the team during the design- build phase and help shape a product suite that will be a model for universities across the globe.
The Web Developer will report to the Senior Director, Digital Services & Strategy, and be responsible for websites and web applications related to the DAA and Duke Magazine. The position requires a genuine passion for web technology, a belief in the idea that the web has the potential to solve real problems and make people’s lives better, and a commitment to open source software.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients, and adept at being successful in both independent and collaborative team environments.
This individual should have experience working with Drupal and have a mix of development and system administration skills. She/he will have proven experience defining systems and application architecture and providing vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving ability to the organization.
