Your main tasks


Working as part of a dedicated scaled-agile program, either as part of a scrum team or system team, demonstrate your:



  • Functional domain expertise in TomTom products, services and content

  • Technical domain expertise in TomTom environments, tools and processes

  • Application of test analysis skills & methods to ensure appropriate test coverage is achieved

  • Application of test automation & framework skills to ensure appropriate test automation coverage is achieved

  • Application of lean thinking and continuous improvement on an iterative basis

  • Commitment to the team, the product backlog and the release objectives

  • Active dependency management across other agile teams (both inside and outside of PND Product Unit)

  • Competence in functional, non-functional and technical test domains

  • Competence in test coordination across multiple activities and teams (including offshore)

  • Competence and leadership in testing scaled agile programs

  • Ability to perform exploratory testing where required to validate defects, test user story, feature or system level functionality

  • Ability to mentor to more junior testers in the functional test domain

  • Ability to implement and further enhance strategic vision in the functional test domain

  • Ability to drive cross-team knowledge sharing initiatives, enhance personal learning and participate in cross-team activities

  • Ability to influence product owners to create test engineering backlog items


Working as part of a either dedicated scrum team or system team, together with the members of the scrum team (engineers, testers, product owner and scrum master) or an agile release train (including release management, product management, architecture, UX, and business stakeholders) demonstrate your:



  • Preparation for and attendance of sprint/release planning & story sizing, daily stand-ups, sprint/system demos and retrospective meetings

  • Ability to enhance acceptance criteria through test analysis and to represent the "voice of the customer"

  • Ownership and accountability in delivering the sprint/program backlog, release objectives and ultimately the program vision, through potentially shippable increments

  • System's adherence to the program backlog non-functional requirements

  • Ability to develop and enhance automation test frameworks to support automated acceptance testing

  • Ability to analyse incoming user stories (from Scrum teams), and define the strategy for ensuring sufficient system level and E2E test coverage

  • Ability to prepare, plan and coordinate test activities for the current potentially shippable increment- PSI/release within the release train, across multiple teams and locations

  • Ability to write & debug automated non-functional tests to validate system KPIs

  • Ability to write and debug automated story/feature acceptance tests and E2E Automated tests that validate integrated system functionality

  • Ability to execute automated test suites, E2E test suites , analyse/report test results to fix software defects.

  • Ability to support the building of development infrastructure, including continuous integration, automated builds and integration testing

  • Generation, utilization and improvement of key team-level/program level agile metrics


Working at the PND portfolio level, together with the senior stakeholders of the TomTom Product Unit (including program portfolio management, business leaders, UX, and enterprise architecture), demonstrate your:



  • Influence in portfolio level ceremonies (including epic and business case reviews, high level planning, and architectural runway discussions)
