In particular, we are looking to hire an Agile Scrum Master for our Java web development team, internally known as “Team Dinogorgon”.
As the Scrum Master, you would serve as the primary point of contact for the Product Owner and customers. Additionally, you would be a hands-on team member who assists with development and other technical tasks. To be effective in this role, you must have a strong technical background, a solid understanding of Agile, and excellent communication skills.
About The Team
The team is responsible for our RIDGID 360 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, which is used continuously by our salesforce around the world. Additionally, Team Dinogorgon built and enhances our Distributor and Supplier Portals which are used globally by thousands of business partners to generate tens of thousands of collaborative transactions. These systems are built on a Java foundation of various technologies including Spring, Hibernate, Wicket, RESTful services, and more.
Team Dinogorgon is entirely located at our Corporate Headquarters in Elyria, OH. Members of the cross-functional team include three developers, a QA analyst, the Product Owner, and numerous customer representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a healthy feature/project backlog in conjunction with the Product Owner and other customers
- Participates in development along with other members of the team
- Ensures that the team’s deliverables are consistent with customers’ needs and are of high quality
- Ensures that a sustainable development process is being followed and constantly improved, often times working with other Scrum Masters to share best practices
