Seeking Candidate Profile:
• Strong Technical Expertise with technologies such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, Agile, Web Services, Unix, etc.
• Experience as an Agile Scrum Coach, Team Lead, Technical Project Manager, or similar leadership experience.
Overview:
Position is responsible for developing software applications solutions for ADP's external and internal clients. Application development managers oversee the application development activities and are responsible for new development and/or maintenance of software products, features, components and tools and participate in long range strategy, planning, prioritization, and scheduling for the product and department work flow.
Responsibilities include directing both project and functional management efforts during the software development lifecycle. Collaboration with other development related functional areas such as architecture, systems analysis, product assurance, and project management to ensure products meet high quality standards and that available time, capital, human, technological, and information resources are optimized. Participation in setting of and tracking against departmental and overall project schedules. Staffing management includes: hiring of full time and contingent personnel, career planning, training, and performance management.
Responsibilities:
• Architect Enterprise Integration System
• Directs one or more development groups in the successful design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications. Orchestrate Agile software development processes and allocate resources in accordance with priorities.
• Effectively interacts with key stakeholders including Business Analysis, Product Assurance, Product Management, Product Marketing, and business partners in the development of specifications and the creation, testing and implementation of system products.
• Responsible for managing one or more critical business initiative efforts. Provides and administers standard procedures and principles for the department for both personnel and technical issues.
• Directs the development of procedures and policies related to applications development and maintenance. Lead and monitor SDLC for effectiveness & productivity. Participates in key project reviews and organizational activities.
Ensures that all projects meet time and budget constraints while ensuring that specifications are met and high quality products are delivered.
• Effectively manages Associate performance; attracts and retains key talent; leads team in manner that results in highly engaged Associates.
Qualifications:
• Four-year degree in Information Systems (or related) or equivalent experience.
• Five-years of experiencing architecting enterprise systems
• Ten years of experience developing in Java.
• Five years of experience with Java Server Faces and Web Services (REST or SOAP).
• One year of experience with Facelets
• Strong SQL skills are required.
• Ability to read data models and understand database table relationships is required.
Strong Plus:
• Experience with Spring Framework, Agile Development, Apache Tomcat, Java Swing
• Experience with DoJo\Dijit, Hibernate or JPA, IBM Web Sphere MQ, Angular and NodeJS
• Experience/knowledge with Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
• Experience with Oracle 10gi or higher.
• Experience developing applications that utilize a commercial Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
• Experience with Gradle and Groovy DSL.
• Experience with Human Resources, Benefits, or Payroll applications.
